Kumro Chakka is a traditional Bengali dry pumpkin curry. Pumpkin is prepared with potatoes and Bengali gram/channa with traditional Bengali spices in mustard oil. Ingredients:
- Salt as per taste
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Whole green chillies - 3 pcs
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
- Hing - 1/4 th tsp
- Soaked chana - 1/2 cup
- Ginger paste - 1/2 tsp
- Dry red chillies - 2 pcs
- Sweet pumpkin - 400 gms (Diced)
- Bengali bhaja moshla - 1.5 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
- Cumin paste - 1 tsp
- Mustard oil - 3 tbsp
- Potatoes - 3 medium size (Diced)chana - 1/2 cup
- Chopped green chillies - 1 tsp
- Bay leaves -2 pcs
- Panch foron/Bengali five spice - 1/2 tsp
