The fiber content in Dalia helps in proper digestion and prevents constipation. This whole wheat product is good for improving metabolism.
Ingredients:
- Green chilly 1
- Curry leaves
- Tomatoes 1 med
- Red chilly powder 1tbs
- Turmeric powder 1/4th tbs
- Cauliflower 1/2 cup
- Fresh coriander leaves
- Beans 1 cup
- Carrots 1 med
- Ghee 1tbs
- Water 3 cups (3 times of the quantity of dalia)
- Hing 1/4th tbs
- Coriander powder 3/4th tbs
- Salt as per taste
- Moong (sprouts) 1/2 cup
- Ginger paste 1 tbs
- Cabbage 1/2 cup
- Spinach/palak 2 cups (chopped)
- Jeera/Cumin 1tbs
- Dalia/fada 1 cup
- Bottlegourd/Dudhi 1/2 (grated)
Procedure:
- Roast dalia for 5-7 minutes. Keep aside
- Take a pressure cooker and add ghee, jeera, curry leaves and ginger green chilly to it
- Saute for 2 minutes
- Add all veggies and spices to it also add 3 cups water
- When water starts boiling, add roasted dalia into it and cover the lid
- Wait till 5 whistles and then let pressure cooker cool down
- Take a tadka pan and add some ghee and add chopped spinach/palak into it
- Saute for 5 minutes and add into dalia pulao
- Combine everything well and add freshly chopped coriander leaves on top
- Super healthy and delicious dalia pulao or fada pulao is ready to serve
