Easy recipe of Sambar to cook in a pressure cooker with Homemade Masala
Ingredients:
for daal:
- Water - 2 and 1.2 cup
- Toor daal
- Imli (Tamarind) - 1" long piece
- Salt to taste
Vegetables & spices:
- Carrots - 1
- Imli water - 1/4 cup
- Onion - 1
- Tomato - 1
- Homemade sambar masala - 2 tsp
- Potato - 1
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Bottle gourd - 1small size
- Shallots - 5
- Beans - 1 cup
- Water - 2 cups
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
for Tadka:
- Coconut oil (or any oil) - 2 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Dry kashmiri chilli - 3
- Curry leaves - 5-7
- Asafoetida - 1 pinch
