lemon coriander soup


  • 3 tbsp corn flour
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 Cup Coriander
  • 6-8 beans de-threaded and chopped finely
  • 1/2 Cup finely chopped Cabbage
  • 1 cube butter
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 6 mugs vegetable stock, or plain water
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
  • 1 carrot diced
  • 1 capsicum finely chopped
  • 2-3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 green chillies finely chopped


  1. In a pan, put butter, as soon as it starts melting, add ginger garlic. Saute for a minute and then add carrots. Mix and add beans. Add a little Salt, mix, cover and cook on low flame for 3 mins.
  2. Remove cover and add onion, capsicum, green chillies and Cabbage. Add Salt and black pepper powder, mix, cover and cook for further 3-4 mins.
  3. Remove cover, add stock/ water, give a boil. Mix corn flour with 3-4 tbsp of water, and pour in with the soup.
  4. Keep stirring and cooking on high flame till it is a little thick, then add coriander
