Homemade Granola is a popular American Breakfast and Snack Food that easy to make. Preheat oven to 250 F.

Lightly oil large baking sheet with oil, set aside

HONEY-WALNUT GRANOLA:

  • 1/2 cup dates, dried & chopped
  • 5 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup Sunflower Kernels, roasted & unsalted
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup sweet cranberries, dried & chopped
  1. In a large bowl. Add oats, dried fruits, walnuts and sunflower seeds. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl. Add honey, oil and vanilla. Whisk until well combine.
  3. Add honey mixture to oat mixture. Mix until dry ingredients are well coated with honey, oil and vanilla mixture.
  4. Pour granola onto large, lightly oiled, sided baking pan.
  5. Bake for 90 minutes. Tossing granola mixture every 15 minutes (five times during baking time).
  6. Cool. Store in Airtight container for up to 1 month. Keeps well in refrigerator.
