Homemade Granola is a popular American Breakfast and Snack Food that easy to make. Preheat oven to 250 F.
Lightly oil large baking sheet with oil, set aside
HONEY-WALNUT GRANOLA:
- 1/2 cup dates, dried & chopped
- 5 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 cup Sunflower Kernels, roasted & unsalted
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup sweet cranberries, dried & chopped
- In a large bowl. Add oats, dried fruits, walnuts and sunflower seeds. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl. Add honey, oil and vanilla. Whisk until well combine.
- Add honey mixture to oat mixture. Mix until dry ingredients are well coated with honey, oil and vanilla mixture.
- Pour granola onto large, lightly oiled, sided baking pan.
- Bake for 90 minutes. Tossing granola mixture every 15 minutes (five times during baking time).
- Cool. Store in Airtight container for up to 1 month. Keeps well in refrigerator.
