APPLE CRISP

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Lightly butter a 7" by 11" baking dish. Set aside.

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (more or less if you wish)
  • Juice of 1 fresh lemon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 Large Granny Smith Apple (about 5-6 cups), peeled, cored, and sliced into 1/4" to 1/2" thickness
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  1. Add peeled, cored, and sliced apple to a large bowl. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over top of apples. Toss well be keep apples from turning brown.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl add sugar, corn starch, and cinnamon. Whisk until well blended. Add to sliced apples. Toss until each apple slice is well coated.
  3. Add to prepare baking dish.

APPLE CRISP TOPPING:

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup lightly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup chilled butter, cubed (keep refrigerated until ready to use)
  1. Add flour, sugars, and salt to medium mixing bowl. Whisk until well blended. Add chilled butter. Cut butter into flour mixture until butter is pea size.
  2. Sprinkle evenly over top of apples.

Bake in a preheated 375 degree F. oven for 1 hour until APPLE CRISP is bubbly!! Cool slightly before serving.
