This is my most favorite times of the year to start cooking with apples. Couldn't help but notice all the different colors and sizes of apples in the supermarket today. APPLE CRISP

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

3 large Granny Smith's apples, rinsed under cool tap water, peeled, seeds removed and sliced thinly = 5-6 cups

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup quick oats
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  1. Arrange sliced apple in the bottom of a well buttered/greased or sprayed 13"x 9" baking pan.
  2. In medium mixing bowl add brown sugar and flour. Mix well with wooden spoon. Add oats. Mix well. Add melted butter and mix until well combine. Spread evenly over top of thinly sliced apples.
  3. Add 1/2 teaspoon of water in each corner of the apple crisp baking dish.
  4. Bake for 35-40 minutes in a 350 degrees F oven.

TIPS: Baked Apple Crisp maybe stored in an airtight container and stored in refrigerator for up to 2 days.
