Aam Dal is a traditional Bengali yellow dal recipe which involves cooking massor dal/red lentils with raw mango slices with a delicate blend of spices. Light on the stomach, this tangy dal preparation is a must during summers. This goes very well with rice and a portion of fried okras or dharosh bhaja as sides.
Ingredients:
- Raw mango - 1 medium size
- Dry red chilli - 2
- Black mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Sugar - 1.5 tsp
- Salt as per taste
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Masoor dal - 150 gms
