Butter Bars

Hey Foodies! This is my version of a butter cake I first tasted at Cotton Patch Cafe’. If chess pie and yellow cake had a baby, this would be it, LOLOL!!

What you’ll need for the cake:

• 1 egg
• 1 pkg yellow cake
• 8 tbsp melted butter

What you’ll need for the filling:

• 1 8oz pkg of softened cream cheese
• 1 tsp of vanilla
• 2 eggs
• 2cups of powdered sugar

Press the mixed cake batter ingredients in lightly greased 9x13 pan. Top with mixed cream cheese filling ingredients. Bake in a 350 degrees oven for 35-40mins. Don’t over bake; the center should be gooey!
