Lemonies ( Lemon Brownies )

Today I am making lemon brownies..These are light,refreshing and very delicious.There is no baking powder or baking soda and the recipe is so simple with few Ingredients.

Ingredients:

For Brownies :

• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1/4 tsp. salt
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp. lemon zest, grated
• 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
• 2 tbsp. lemon juice
• 1/2 cup butter, softened

For Lemon Glaze :

• 1 tsp. lemon zest
• 1/2 cup powdered sugar
• 2 tsp. lemon juice

Method :

1. Preheat oven to 350F or 180 C. Grease or line an 8" square baking pan.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar & salt. Mix in the softened butter.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, lemon juice and zest.
4. Pour into the flour mixture and whisk until smooth and well combined.
5. Pour into the baking pan and bake for 25 minutes or until starting to turn golden.
6. Allow to cool completely before pouring the glaze.
7. Combine the glaze ingredients in a bowl and stir well until smooth.
8. Spread glaze over brownies and let set. Cut in squares and enjoy!
