OLD-FASHIONED BAKED PORK & BEANS

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  • 3/4 cup onions, finely minced
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 (15 OZ) Van Camp's Pork & Beans
  • 4-6 slices bacon, bake or fried crispy, crumbled
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown packed sugar
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce, your choice
  • 2-3 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  1. In a 3-quart Dutch oven or heavy sauce pan (oven proof), over medium-heat, add crispy bacon and minced onions. The bacon will render just enough fat to sauté the onions for 2-4 minutes.
  2. Add beans, brown sugar, ketchup, BBQ sauce, mustard, molasses and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until well combine.
  3. Transfer to preheated oven.
  4. Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes.

Beans maybe served right away. Cover beans, after cooled, and refrigerate overnight to serve at a BBQ, picnic or at home the next day.
