The taste of corn transcends boundaries and continents and is widely used either as a staple or a supplement in menus across the globe. This is an Indian take on the omnipotent flavour of corn in a traditional chaat form. The crispiness of corn infused with spices and a hint of lime makes this a delicious yet nutritious snack.
Ingredients:
- Lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
- Black salt/Biit namak - According to your taste
- Chaat masala - 1/2 tsp
- Roasted cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
- Chopped coriander leaves- For garnishing.
- Corn flour - 2 tbsp
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Sweet corn(boiled) - 1 cup
- Refined oil for frying
- Finely chopped onion - 1 medium size
- Rice flour - 1 tsp
Method:
- Take boiled sweet corn in a bowl.Ensure that the corn is moist, so that
- the coating sticks well.
- Now add 2 tbsp of corn flour
- 1 tsp of rice flour
- 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder
- Mix well.
- Take generous amount of oil( Ensure oil should be very hot)
- Now fry the corn on low flame.
- Take crispy corn in a bowl, add Chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp chat masala
- 1/2 tsp black salt/ Biit namak
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/1 tsp lemon juice
- Mix well.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
