Spinach/ Palak is a must-have leafy green veggie- rich in iron,protien and other minerals- specially during the winters in India when it is available fresh from the gardens and farms. This preparation of the palak sag, mixed with other vegetables using Panch Phoran or Bengali five Spices and other commonly available obes,is extremely popular in Bengal and is best had with khichdi or steamed rice. Ingredients:

  • Egg plant (Dice)- 1 small
  • Panch foron (Bengali five spice)- 1 tsp
  • Bori/ lentil dumplings - 12-15 pcs
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Potato (Dice)- 1 large
  • Slited green chillies - 3
  • Dice pumpkin - 1 medium bowl
  • Sugar - 1.5 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Palak Shak/Spinach - 1 large bunch
  • Mustard oil - 3-4 tbsp
  • Slice radish - 1 small
