Perfectly SEARED SALMON FILET... searing begins to build flavor!! And oh, what flavor it is!! This caramelized fish filet served with a spectacular LEMON SAUCE will have you thinking you're eating at a 5-star restaurant!! You'll NOT be disappointed!! Recipe below by clicking on SHOW MORE...
PAN SEARED SALMON W/ LEMON BUTTER SAUCE:
- 1 - 6 ounce Salmon Filet, rinsed & pat dried
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed & chilled
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon dill weed, dried
- Juice of 1/2 a fresh lemon
- 1/2 teaspoon shallot, minced
- Kosher Salt & Fresh Cracked Pepper to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon basil, dried
- Lightly salt and pepper salmon filet. Set aside.
- Heat a 12-inch frying pan, over medium-heat, until hot. Add oil. Gently, place seasoned Salmon Filet (skin side up) in pan. Sear Salmon for 2-3 minutes. Carefully, flip Salmon Filet (skin side down) and continue to sear for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Remove Salmon from frying pan to dish. Cover with tin foil to keep warm.
- Meanwhile, wipe out excess oil from frying pan with a paper towel. Add wine, lemon juice, shallots, garlic, dried dill weed & basil. Bubble for 2-3 minutes. Add chilled butter. Continue to stir until butter has melted.
- Spoon Lemon Sauce over Salmon. Served immediately!!
TiP: May keep SALMON FILET warm in 200 degree F. oven, wrapped in foil, up to 30 minutes. Add warm sauce before serving.
