*Echor Chingri* or raw jackfruit cooked with prawns is a traditional and authentic Bengali curry. Raw and tender jackfruits are commonly available during the onset of summers in Eastern India. Here diced raw jackfruit is sslow cooked with a blend of delicate Bengali spices and mixed with lightly fried, tender prawns along with a few other veggies, ginger and garlic.   • Echor/Raw jackfruit - 300 gms
  • Chopped green chillies - 2 tbsp
  • Prawns - 200 grms
  • Diced potato - 1 large
  • Red chilli powder - 1/4 th tsp
  • Bay leaves - 2
  • Ginger garlic powder - 1 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Sliced onion - 1 large
  • Sugar - 2 tsp
  • Mustard oil - 3-4 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/4 th tsp
  • Panch foron (Bengali five spice)- 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1.5 tsp
  • Ghee - 1 tsp
