Fish Rezala Recipe | Katla Macher Rezala

Fish Rezala is a Mughal alternative to the daily fish curry. It can be made with Betki, Aar, Katla, Rohu, Boal or any big fish. Mughlai spices, yogurt, kewra water is used in a slow cooking process to create a royal, rich and thick curry. Goes great with jeera rice, peas polao or steamed rice! Happy cooking!

Ingredients:

    • Whisk yougurt - 50 gms
    • Raisins - 15 gms-
    • Cashew nuts - 20 gms
    • Katla Fish - 5 pcs(500 gms)

    Crushed garam masala:

    • 3 cloves
    • 2 cardamoms
    • 1 inch cinamon stick

    • Refined oil - 4-5 tbsp
    • Kewra water - 1 tbsp
    • Garam masala powder - 1/4 th tsp
    • Dry red chilli - 2
    • Sugar - 1/4 th tsp (Optional)
    • Boiled Onion Paste - 2 medium sized onions
    • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
    • Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
    • Turmeric powder - 1/4 th tsp
    • Black pepper corns - 4-5
    • Ghee - 1 tsp
    • Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
    • Salt as per taste
    • Carway seeds (Shahi jeera) -1/2 tsp
    • Whole green chillies - 5 pcs
    • Bay leaves - 2
