ASPARAGUS - How to Roast ASPARAGUS Instructions

It's officially ASPARAGUS SEASON...from April until late June!! A perfectly roasted vegetable side dish for chicken, fish, steaks or just eat one spear at a time!! Click on "SHOW MORE" below on instructions for roasting....

ROASTED ASPARAGUS

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

  • fresh ground pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 fresh lemon
  • 1 pound fresh asparagus spears
  • dash of kosher salt
  1. Store ends of asparagus spears in fresh water until ready to use.
  2. Before roasting rinse asparagus under cool running tap water. Dry on paper towels to absorb all water.
  3. WIth sharp knife...remove 1 - 2 inches from end of each asparagus spear (remove any heavy scales with vegetable peeler or paring knife).
  4. Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt and pepper. Arrange asparagus in a single layer on large cookie sheet.
  5. Bake 15 minutes.
  6. Cool slightly and squeeze fresh lemon juice over asparagus.
