BLACK FOREST FLOAT Cake Style! Make your own favorite black forest cake without worrying for the cream flowing out. This recipe is very dense and moist and a perfect combination of dark chocolate, cream and cherries! Let me know in the comments down below what you think of it!

Ingredients:

For the chocolate cake:

  • 1 tsp instant coffee powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup cocoa powder (I use Bensdorp)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups water
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil

For the cream:

  • 1 can (390g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups all purpose cream (or 2 packs of 250mL cream)

Toppings:

  • Dark chocolate shavings (I used Beryl's)
  • Cherries
  • Dark chocolate syrup (I used Goya)

Bake at 180C for an hour to one hour and 20 minutes, depending on you oven.

*NOTE: The video states 2 tsp of baking powder, kindly replace it with 2 tsp of baking soda
