Rice flour and samolina cutlets

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/2 Cup Rice flour
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 2 large potatoes boiled and peeled
  • 1 tsp Dried Mango Powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Grated Garlic
  • 1 tsp kashmiri Red chilli powder
  • 1 capsicum finely chopped
  • 2 green chillies finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Grated Ginger
  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • Oil to shallow fry
  • 2 tbsp Samolina
  • 1 tsp roasted Cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Crumbs of 2 bread slices
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder

Method:

  1. Boil 1 cup water in a pan with 2 tsp oil and some Salt. Add rice flour and Semolina, keep on stirring to avoid formation of lumps. Cook till all water is absorbed and it becomes like a dough.
  2. Remove from heat and keep aside to cool. Once it cools down, knead like a dough.
  3. Mash the potatoes, and mix mashed potatoes, capsicum, onion, green chillies, ginger garlic and all spices with the rice flour and Semolina mixture.
  4. Pour a few drops of oil in your palm, take small portions of the mixture, and shape into an oil, round, or any other shape of your choice. If you have a cookie cutter, you can Spread this mixture on a cutting board and cut out shapes
  5. Make a slurry of all purpose flour/curd mixed with water. Dip the Patties into the slurry to Wet both sides, then role in bread Crumbs
  6. Heat oil in a pan, sorry place the Patties in the pan, and shallow fry till golden brown on both sides. You might need to turn these more than once. You can also fry them in just a tsp of oil in a non - stick, or bake/air fry them
  7. Serve hot with your choice of sauces/ chutney
