Dalia or broken wheat is consumed widely in India as an alternative to carbohydrate based staples like rice and rotis. Ir is had in many ways - with milk , as a khichdi etc. Here, we have prepared a delicious Dalia Pulao. Prepared with lot of veggies and cooked in little oil, the aroma and flavours are enhanced with the addirion of desi ghee/clarified butter and delicate mix of spices. This is a simple, nutritious and flavour-ful one pot meal. It is best served hot and can be served to breeak fast or during upvas. A mist try for all in the Hungry Tummy family!
Ingredients:
- Hing - 1/4 th tsp
- Cashew nuts - 20 gms
- Cinamon stick - 1 inch
- Chopped beans - 1 small bowl
- Green Peas - 1 small bowl
- Bay leaf - 1
- Garam masala powder - 1/4 th tsp
- Kishmish/raisins - 20 gms
- Carrot (Diced) - 1 small bowl
- Dalia - 1 cup
- Ginger paste - 1 tsp
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp
- Cardamoms - 2-3
- Cumin powder - 1 tsp
- Chopped green chillies - 1 tbsp
- Cloves - 2-3
- Ghee - 1 tbsp
