BASMATI RICE:
- 1 cup BASMATI RICE, raised in fresh water twice
- 1- 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, optional
STOVE TOP COOKING...
In a 4-quart sauce pan, over high-heat, add water, rinsed rice, and salt, optional. Bring to a vigorous boil. Stir once. Cover with tight fitting lid. Reduce to medium-heat. Cook 12-15 minutes. Remove from heat. Let sit covered for an additional 5-10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
ELECTRIC RICE COOKER...
Placed 1 cup raised rice and 1-1/2 cups water in an electric rice cooker. Add salt, optional. Cover the cooker, turn it on, and cook for 30 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
