Double Chocolate Easter Cake - Easy to make Showstopper!
This is my really simple recipe for a delicious fudgey chocolate layer cake. Perfect for any occasion, this cake is moist, rich and paired with a silky smooth chocolate buttercream with nutella, you'll be impressed with both the taste and just how easy it was to throw together!
I have been away for a while, I had a baby and pregnancy and raising a newborn was my priority so I haven't uploaded any videos in quite a while. I'm now trying to share with you some of the baking I've been doing so please check out my videos to see how I made this yummy double chocolate cake.

TO MAKE THIS CAKE, YOU WILL NEED:
CAKE:
DRY:
- 3/4 CUPS COCOA POWDER
- 1 + 3/4 CUPS SELF RAISING FLOUR
- PINCH SALT
- 1 CUP GOLDEN CASTER SUGAR/BROWN SUGAR
- 3/4 CUPS WHITE SUGAR
WET:
- 3 MEDIUM OR 2 LARGE EGGS
- 1/4 CUP CREAM
- 1 TABLESPOON VANILLA EXTRACT
- 1/2 CUP OIL (ANY)
- 1 CUP COFFEE (HOT)
- 1 CUP BUTTER MILK
FROSTING:
- 4 CUPS ICING SUGAR
- 2 8 INCH PANS LINED WITH FOIL
- 1/4 CUP DOUBLE CREAM
- 1 + 1/4 CUPS BUTTER OR MARGARINE
- 1/2 CUP CHOCOLATE SPREAD
- APPROX MEASUREMENTS
SELECTION OF EGGS TO DECORATE
FUDGE OR OTHER DECORATIVE ITEMS
BAKE AT 170C (325F/GM3) FOR 40 MINUTES
