BALLOON CHOCOLATE BOWLS:

  • 6-8 water bomb balloons (or more), rinse & dry the end of each balloon that will be dipped into melted chocolate, dry balloon(s) completely before dipping
  • 1 (12 OZ) bag Dark Melting Wafers of Chocolate Chips (any flavor will do)
  1. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper...this will also prevent chocolate dipped balloons from sticking to surface when ready to remove to serving dish.
  2. Melt chocolate in double boiler over medium-low heat or fellow directions for melting on back of package. Add melted chocolate into a small bowl, about 6-inch in diameter, to insure the depth of chocolate when dipping balloons.
  3. With a spoon make a circular, 1/2-inch design, of melted chocolate onto parchment paper. Dip prepared balloon into melted chocolate, shaking off extra chocolate from balloon, and attach dipped balloon to circular chocolate design.
  4. Place into refrigerator for 10-15 minutes to set chocolate. Using the end of a sharp pin or knife....pop balloon(s) and discard all parts of the balloon.
  5. Fill the edible chocolate bowls with ice-cream, nuts, candies, pretzel or whatever else you can think of.

TIPS: Store chocolate bowls in an airtight container until ready to use. Will keep up to 2 weeks at room temperature.

Enjoy your meal!
