savoury Sago Pancakes
Ingredients:
- 1 tsp roasted Cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 heaped tsp rice flour
- 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
- 2 tsp + 2 tbsp oil
- 2 medium sized potatoes boiled, Peeled and grated
- 1/2 medium sized raw Potato Peeled and grated
- Paste of 3 green chillies
- 1 medium sized onion finely chopped
- 1 Cup Sago Soaked for 4-5 hrs, then strained and squeezed
- 1 tsp kashmiri Red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 2-3 tbsp finely chopped fresh green coriander
- 2 tbsp Curd
Method:
- Mix all Ingredients together except oil and form a soft dough. Add 2 tsp oil to this dough so it doesn’t stick on hands.
- Make 10 equal balls of this dough and keep aside. Take 2 polybags, Apply oil on one side of both polybags. Place on ball on the polybag, cover with oil side of the other polybag and with hands, flatten it out like a Chapati.
- With Brush, oil a skillet and heat it. Remove upper polybag, slowly transfer the flattend Sago round on your hand from the bottom polybag and transfer to the oiled skillet.
- Cook covered on medium flame for 3-4 mins or till bottom portion is golden brown, then Brush oil on top portion and turn upside down to cook the other side.
- Repeat with all the balls, serve hot with curd, or your choice of chutney.
