Tomato rava dosa | Instant tomato dosa


Instant tomato dosa without fermentation.


  • Rava/Sooji/Semolina 2 cups
  • Rice flour 3/4th cup
  • Buttermilk(normal) 1 glass (250ml)
  • Fresh coriander leaves - 1 cup
  • Maida(all purpose flour) 1tbs
  • Tomatoes 2 medium (grated)
  • Green chillies 2-3
  • Water 3 glasses

Salt: as per taste

  • Ghee/oil/butter 2-3 tbs (for roasting dosa)
  • Red chilly powder 1tbs
  • Asafetida/hing 1tsp


  1. Take sooji/rava, rice flour and maida in a bowl
  2. Add buttermilk, water and everything well
  3. Let it rest for atleast 1 hour
  4. Add grated tomatoes, chilly, fresh coriander leaves, salt, hing and chilly powder to it and mix everything well
  5. Add some water if need and adjust the batter to flowing consistency
  6. Heat dosa pan, and pour the batter evenly, add some ghee
