Potato Cutlet Snacks Recipe

Today's recipe is Moong Daal wali Aaloo Tikki. It tastes exactly like the Tikki which we eat at a roadside vendor. I have shown two ways to fry these tikkis. You can deep fry as well as shallow fry the aloo tikkis as per your choice. It tastes crispy and tasty both ways.

Ingredients:

  • Dhuli moong daal (split, skinned Green beans) - 1/2 cup
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida - 1 pinch
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Chaat masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  • For stuffing--
  • Oil- 2 tbsp
  • GInger paste - 1 tsp
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Corn flour or arrowroot - 1 to 2 tbsp
  • Boiled, Peeled and grated potatoes - 600 g (4nos.)
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
