Potato and Soya Chunks in curd gravy
Ingredients:
- 2 medium sized potatoes washed, Peeled and cut into wedges
- 3 tbsp mustard oil
- 1/3rd tsp turmeric powder
- 3/4th tsp Kashmiri Red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 2 medium sized tomatoes finely chopped
- 1 green chilli finely chopped
- 1 fistful of soya chunks boiled and drained
- 1 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 2 medium sized onions finely chopped
- 1 tsp Dried fenugreek leaves
- 2 tbsp curd
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Heat 2 tbsp mustard oil in a pressure cooker, fry soya chunks till golden brown, take out, keep aside and fry Potato Wedges as well. Take these out too. And keep aside. To the fried soya chunks and potatoes, add curd, ginger garlic paste and all spices except Dried fenugreek leaves and Cumin seeds, keep aside.
- In remaining oil, add cumin seeds and once they stop crackling, add onion, fry till golden brown. Add tomatoes and green chillies, saute till oil separates. Add the curd, spice, Potato and Soya Chunks mixture. Once oil separates, add water For gravy and Dried fenugreek leaves. Close pressure cooker lid, give a whistle and let it cook on low flame for 5 mins. Let the cooker de-pressurise on its own.
- Dish out, serve with hot Chapatis or boiled rice.
