PORK HUMBA is a sweet pork dish that resembles the famous pork adobo in terms of appearance. This is popular in the Southern parts of the Philippines and is considered as one of the delicacies of the region. This recipe supposed to have a black beans but unfortunately not available in my cupboard but still taste really yummy sometimes we just need to be flexible with our ingredients.
PORK HUMBA
Ingredients:
- 1/2 tsp Salt & ground black pepper
- 1/2 C Vinegar
- 1/4 C salted black beans ( I did not use in this recipe)
- 1/2 C Soy Sauce
- 1/2 C light Brown Sugar
- 2 C Hot Water
- 3 pcs. Dried Bay leaves
- 6 Cloves Garlic
- 1 pc. big Onion
- 11/2 C Pineapple juice (unsweetened)
- 1.3 K Pork belly
