Pinwheel Cookies/Chocolate vanilla swirl cookies
Ingredients:
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder ( mix with 1 tbsp milk and 1 tbsp melted butter)
- 1 1/2 Cup All purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup butter(Softened)
- 1 egg yolk
Method:
- Shift the flour and baking powder together.
- Beat the butter and sugar.
- Add egg yolk, vanilla, and milk. beat well.
- Add the dry ingredients.
- Knead the dough and divide into two.( one portion vanilla and one chocolate)
- Roll the one ball( Vanilla).
- Mix cocoa mixture into other half and roll rectangular shape.
- Stack on top of each other( it doesn't matter which flavor is on top).
- Roll them carefully and freeze for half an hour.
- preheat oven to 325F and slice the cookies and bake for 15 -20 minutes.
- let them cool completely before serving.
Extra tip:
If you’re having a party and need to make a couple of things for your dessert table, make the cookie dough weeks in advance and forget about it. Then on the day of your party, you can just whip up a batch without even messing up the kitchen.
