OVEN TOASTER-BAKED RED VELVET CRINKLES WITH CREAM CHEESE FILLING

Ingredients:

For the Crinkles:

  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp red gel food color (or 1/2 tsp liquid food color)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil (I use canola oil)
  • 3 eggs

For the Cream cheese filling:

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 5 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk (*optional to loosen up consistency)
  • Half bar cream cheese (half cup or 125 grams)

*Cooking time may vary depending on the heat of your oven/oven toaster and the texture of crinkle that you like (chewy or crumbly)

As for my ovens:

*Oven toaster - 5 minutes (shorter time due to higher uncontrolled temperature)

*Regular oven - 7 minutes
