Poush Sankranti is the winter harvest festival of Bengal celevrated by making various sweet dishes like pithe, payesh or kheer etc made from fresh local produce from the farms. Once such famous pithe is Moong Pakon pithe. Moong is moong lentil and pakon means cooking techbique. This is a delicately flavoured moong dal based pithe dripped in syrup.   • Ghee - 2 tsp
  • Baking powder - 1/4 th tsp
  • Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
  • Maida - 2 tsp
  • Rice flour - 4 tbsp
  • Sugar - 2 cups
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • Moong dal - 1/2 cup
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
