Two Pinoy favorites pandesal and leche flan in one! Crunchy coating of caramel also adds flavor and texture to a well-loved bread. No mixer needed everything can be done by hand, definitely a must try!

Ingredients:

PANDESAL (makes 18-20 pcs):

  • 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup lukewarm water
  • 1/4 cup melted butter, cooled
  • 2 tbsp powdered milk
  • 1 medium egg, beaten
  • 1 cup bread flour, sifted
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour, sifted
  • 2 tsp instant dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup lukewarm milk
  • Fine bread crumbs for dredging
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour for kneading
  • 1 cup sugar for the caramel
