- 1 TBS ground cinnamon
- ½ TBS bicarbonate of soda
- oil, for deep-frying
- pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ TBS ground nutmeg
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 1 cup plain flour
- ½ cup buttermilk
