Simple Christmas Tree Cookies
Happy Holidays - thank you for checking out this video, I hope you enjoy baking and decorating these cookies. These are super easy!!
Just make the dough in a food processor, chill it, roll it out - then bake. You can decorate with melted chocolate or fondant and they're great for making with kids.
Don't limit yourself to Christmas trees - you could make any shape. These vanilla biscuits/cookies are a great base for any cookie decorating any time of the year. You can make these up to a week ahead and store them in an air tight container. You could even make the dough ahead of time and store in the fridge for several days or freezer for up to a month.
I hope you give this recipe a try. I'm sure you won't be disappointed!!

- 90g // 3.1oz // 1/2 cup milk chocolate
- Small decorations (similar to small Smarties)

Small brush
Various cutters
▼TIPS▼
- Make the dough several hours ahead. I like to leave mine in the fridge for at least 4-6 hours.
- I like to pop the dough back in the fridge after I've cut my shapes for another 10 minutes or so before baking to reduce the spread when they're in the oven.
- Don't roll the dough very thick because I like smooth cookies. Try 3-5mm thick (1/8 inch thick).
- Leave the cookies on the tray whilst cooling for at least 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven as soon as they start to brown on the edges.
- Cook in the middle of the oven and check at 6 minutes then 2 minute intervals until cooked.
- Rotate the tray in the oven if need be to get even cooking.
- Use a piping bag (or zip lock with the side snipped off to pipe melted chocolate).
- Remove the cookies from the wire mesh before the chocolate has set and neaten the edges where the chocolate falls off the cookie with a bitter knife or spoon.
- Store the cookies in an air tight container.
