I use this BUTTERCREAM FROSTING to frost my ULTIMATE "VALENTINE'S DAY" SUGAR COOKIES. Use this FROSTING to cover and decorate cakes as well...perfect for both. Click on "Show more" below to get BUTTERCREAM FROSTING and ULTIMATE SUGAR COOKIE Recipes below...

BUTTERCREAM FROSTING:

  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 2-4 tablespoon whipping cream (substitute whipping cream with cream or milk)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cup powder sugar

In large mixing bowl add powder sugar, butter, vanilla and 2 tablespoons of whipping cream (add more cream to thin out frosting if needed). Using a hand mixer, start on low speed increasing to high, to combine ingredients. Beat frosting 3-4 minutes for ultimate texture.

Frost cookies or cake(s) to your liking. Recipe maybe doubled.

Food coloring maybe add to white frosting to get desired color.

Store unused frosting in refrigerator up to 6 day. Bring to room temperature before using. ENJOY!!
