100% Whole Wheat Burger Buns

Step by step recipe of making eggless whole wheat burger buns. Made with 100% whole wheat, these soft and fluffy burger buns are very easy to make at home.
Ingredients:
- Whole wheat flour - 2 cups (230 g)
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Instant yeast - 1and 1/4 tsp (if using dry active yeast use - 1 tbsp)
- Vinegar - 1 tbsp or lemon juice of 1 pc
- Oil - 1/4 cup
- Milk - 230 ml
- Sugar - 2 tbsp
Instructions:
- First, to make buttermilk, take a cup of milk, and add vinegar to it. Let it rest for a few minutes for the curdling process.
- In a large mixing bowl, add whole wheat flour, yeast, sugar, salt, oil, and prepared buttermilk. Mix well.
- Dust a flat surface with flour and knead your dough on it for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the dough to a greased bowl. Cover and let it rest for 2 hours to proof.
- After 2 hours, punch the dough and knead for another 2 minutes.
- Divide the dough into equal round parts. Cover and rest for 10 minutes.
- In the meantime, preheat your over to 200 degrees C (390 F) for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Apply milk and put sesame seeds on top of buns. And bake it for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven.
- Soft and spongy burger buns are ready to eat.
