Open Sandwich or Bread Pizza (For 2 persons)



  • 4 cheese cubes grated
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 large tomato finely chopped
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 4 bread Slices
  • Black pepper powder 1 tsp
  • Oregano 1 tsp
  • 1 large capsicum finely chopped

For base sauce:

  • 1 large onion chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • 1 pod of garlic Peeled and Chopped
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red chilli powder (optional)
  • 1 large tomato chopped
  • 2 tsp oil


To make base sauce:

  1. Pour oil in a pan, let it heat, and add garlic. Once it is light brown, add onion. Stir fry till golden brown, then add tomatoes, salt and green chillies.
  2. Saute till the oil separates. Keep aside to cool.
  3. Once it cools down, grind it to a paste.

To make open sandwiches:

  1. Preheat oven at 200° for 10 mins. Meanwhile, mix the vegetables together in a bowl, and mix Salt and pepper in the vegetables.
  2. Cut bread pieces diagonally to make 2 triangles from each
  3. Spread some base sauce, and then Spread mixed vegetables on the bread pieces.
  4. Sprinkle some cheese and lastly Oregano.
  5. Cover the oven grill with parchment paper, or Spread some oil on the over tray. Place these bread pieces on the grill/tray, and bake for 6-7 mins. Grill for further 2 mins.
  6. Serve with your choice of sauce.
