Tanddori chicken is a Mughlai recipe popular all over the Indian sub-continent, the Middle East and is now widely recognized and loved globally. Large chicken pieces are marinated in dry spices, yogurt, lemon juice etc. overnight and roated in large clay ovens known as tanddors on woodfire in a 2 stage process to create a wonderfully aromatic, juicy, roasted chicken pieces. We at Hungry Tummy have re-created this classic without the clay or micro-ovens- on a gas stove without compromising either on the tastes or the flavours of the origibal. Ingredients:

  • Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice - 3 tbsp
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder - 2 tbsp
  • Chicken (leg+thigh)-650 gms
  • Butter - 1 tbsp
  • Mustard oil - 2 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil - 2-3 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1.5 tbsp
  • kasuri methi - 1/2 tsp
  • Hung Curd - 200 gms
  • Chat masala - 1 tsp
