Presenting a mildly spiced, flavoursome light chicken curry- which is a part of the Bengali Sunday lunch. Distinctive and ubliquitous, this is a popular weekly treat with smoking hot steamed rice on a lazy Sunday afternnon- a bedrock for the siesta to follow! Ingredients:
- Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
- Whole green chillies - 3-4
- cardamoms - 3
- cinamon sticks - 1 inch
- potatoes - 3 medium sized cut into halves
- Whole garam masala
- Mustard oil - 4 tbsp
- Chopped green chillies - 1 tbsp
- bay leaves - 2
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- cloves - 3-4
- Chopped onion - 1 large
- chopped tomato - 1 large
- Chicken - 600 gms
- Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt as per taste
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Roasted cumin powder - 1 tsp
