Chicken Handi Recipe | Easy Boneless Handi.
Chicken Handi is traditionally cooked in a handi (a cooking pot with a lid). You can use any pot or pan with a lid for this rich and creamy dish. handi is very common and famous Indian,pakistani traditional dish.This recipe is very delicious if you follow each and every step.serve on parties your guests will fall in love with this.if you like this recipe please comment down below and subscribe to my channel.
Ingredients:
- salt - - - 1 tsp or to taste
- Garlic/ginger paste— 2 tbsp
- Garam masala powder— 1/2 tsp
- Black pepper powder— 1/2 tsp
- Red chili powder—— 1 tsp
- Coconut powder——– 1 tbsp
- Put oil in a large pan.
- Add roughly chopped onions into it. Cook till they turn golden in color.
- Once done add chicken to it and mix well.
- Add garlic/ginger paste and salt,red chili powder to it then.
- Stir everything together and add the chopped de-skinned tomatoes and mix well.
- Cover and cook till the tomatoes are almost dissolved and form a sauce.
- Now add black pepper powder , garam masala powder and crushed white cumin and yogurt.Cover for further 2 minutes.
- Then add the dried coconut and cook the chicken for 5 minutes
- Once done add kasoori methi, finely chopped green chilies, Julian ginger,cream, extra yogurt and flour to it and stir well.
- If the sauce is too thick add 1/2 cup milk to it.
assembly:
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- 2 tbsp butter
last step is assembly in the handi.i don't use the handi but i pour the buttery sauce over the chicken.
