Fox Nut Pudding

Ingredients:
- 8-10 crushed almonds
- 2 pistachios split into two halves
- 5 cups milk
- 1 tsp green cardamom seeds (crushed), or green cardamom powder
- 4-5 tbsp jaggery powder/ sugar, or honey
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 8-10 crushed pistachios
- 100gms soft white Makhanas
- 2 almonds split into two halves each
Method:
- Cut makhanas into halves. Heat green a pan and fry makhanas over a low heat for about 5 minutes.
- Boil milk and put it on low flame. Add Makhana and eave to simmer for about 30 mins or so, until milk reduces to half and of a creamy consistency. During this period stir from time to time so that milk does not sticks to the bottom of pan.
- Now add almonds and pistachios and leave for further 10 minutes. Sprinkle crushed cardamom/ cardamom powder.
- Turn off flame, Dish out and serve the makhana kheer hot or cold, as desired.
