CLASSIC PECAN PIE
One 9-inch unbaked pie crust. Set aside.
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1. Lightly whisk eggs in a large bowl. Add brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, vanilla, and salt. Whisk until well blended.
- 2. Stir in pecans.
- 3. Pour pecan mixture into unbaked pie crust.
- 4. Bake in a preheated 425 degrees F. oven for the first 10 minutes. Reduce heat (without opening oven door) and bake an additional 25-30 minutes.
- 5. Cool on a cooling rack for 1 hour before serving.
TIPS: Store cooled PECAN PIE in an airtight container up to 3 days.
