This is a really yummy tart made with a delicious sweet shortcrust pastry, fresh plums and ground almonds.

To make this tart even easier, you can use a good quality pre made short crust pastry.

Keep this tart covered away from strong odours like raw onions, and garlic. It will keep for up to 3 days.

Ingredients:

  • 2-4 tablespoons frozen berries
  • 125g (4oz) caster sugar, plus a few table spoons more
  • 1oz sugar
  • 4oz butter
  • 100g (3 1/2oz) butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 egg yoke
  • 6oz (4-8) plums
  • 2 tbsp flaked almonds
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 8oz plain flour (all purpose)
  • 175g (6oz) ground almonds
  • 50g (2oz) plain flour
