MONKEY BREAD

Grease 10-inch tube pan. Set aside.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • 3 tubes (10 ounces each) refrigerated flaky biscuits
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecan, optional
  • 1/2 cup (1-stick or 8 Tablespoons) butter, melted
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 box (3-1/2 ounces) Cook-and-Serve butterscotch pudding mix
  1. In a medium mixing bowl whisk together sugar, cinnamon, pudding mix, and, if desired, pecans. Add mixture in an 8" by 8" shallow dish.
  2. Add melted butter in an additional 8" by 8" dish.
  3. Cut each biscuit into quarters. Dip several pieces into butter; place in pudding mixture and toss until well coated.
  4. Arrange pieces in greased prepared tube pan. Repeat until all biscuits pieces are coated. Add remaining sugar mixture on top of biscuits before baking.
  5. Bake until browned and slightly bubbly, 30-35 minutes. Cool in tube pan 5-10 before inverting onto a serving plate!!
