Cheezy garlic bread rolls

Ingredients:

  • Dry Basil leaves - 1 tsp
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • 3/4th - 1 cup water
  • Finally chopped green coriander - 2 tbsp
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • 2 cup All Purpose Flour - Maida
  • 1 tsp active dry yeast
  • Salt ek Butter/ Nutralite - 75-100 gms
  • Oregano - 1 tsp
  • Finely chopped garlic - 1.5 - 2 Pods
  • Parsley - tsp
  • Red chilli flakes - 1 tsp

Method :

Proofing of yeast:

  1. Warm the water and add sugar
  2. Add yeast and cover the cup. Wait for 10-15 mins
  3. Froth will form in water and it will rise to almost double the quantity.

Preparing rolls:

  1. While the yeast is proofing, add salt to maida and mix well
  2. Once yeast is proofed, add a cube of melted butter to the maida and knead with this water. Add little more maida if required to make a soft pliable dough.
  3. Leave dough to rise to double, it will take 2-3 hrs
  4. Meanwhile, take butter out and keep at room temperature so it becomes soft
  5. Add coriander, chilli flakes, basil, Oregano and parsley to the butter and mix well
  6. Once the dough has risen to double, lightly knock it back.
  7. Spread a little dry maida on a dry surface or table top, and roll the dough into a large rectangle
  8. Spread the butter mix evenly all over
  9. Tightly roll into a long stick.
  10. Cut into 1/2 inch rolls. Spread parchment pepper on a baking tray, place the rolls on it at some distance from each other. Brush them with oil or melted butter
  11. Wait for 10-15 mins and let them rise. Preheat oven at 200° C for 10 mins, then place the tray inside.
  12. Bake for 10-15 minutes or till golden brown. If you still find them a little white from top, grill for 5 mins.
  13. (Alternately, you can do the complete cooking procedure in a non stick pan. Butter and Spread the rolls on pan, after 15 minutes, turn the gas stove on to low, keep the pan on stove.
  14. Tie a cloth to the lid so that moisture does not fall back on rolls, and cover the pan with lid
  15. In 8-10 mins, the underside will be done. Check and turn to cook other side and cover
  16. In 5-7 mins, the other side will also be done.)
  17. Remove the rolls, serve with canned beans, scrambled Eggs, or salsa sauce.
