Today's recipe is Mango Phirni. Quick and easy dessert recipe of Mango Phirni.

For this recipe, all you need is 4 tablespoons of rice and one liter of milk. Simmer the milk and rice for 15 minutes and you Phirni will be ready. Later you can add mango puree to make it mango phirni. Any flavoring like cardamom, saffron, rose water can be added for extra taste and deliciousness. Serve it cold.

Ingredients:

  • Full Cream Milk - 1 ltr
  • Mango Puree - 1 cup
  • Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Sugar - 1/3 cup or to taste
  • Chopped pistachios - to garnish
  • Basmati Rice - 4 tbsp

Instructions:

  1. Wash the rice three to four times. Then soak it for about 30 minutes.
  2. Grind the rice coarsely with a little bit of water.
  3. In a heavy bottom pan, add milk and put it on medium flame.
  4. Add sugar in milk, stir it.
  5. When the milk starts boiling, add rice and simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. After 15 minutes or rice has softened, take it off the flame.
  7. Add cardamom powder or rose/kewra water.
  8. Let the phirni come to room temperature.
  9. Once cooled, add mango puree and mix well.
  10. Refrigerate for better taste.
  11. Serve the Mango Phirni with mango puree and chopped pistachios on top.
