EASTER BASKET/BIRDS NEST RICE KRISPY TREATS:

• green food coloring
• 6 cup rice crispy cereal
• 40 (9-oz bag) large marshmallows or 4 cups mini-marshmallows
• 1 cup coconut
• 3 tablespoons butter
• Jelly Beans or another similar candy

1. In a large non-stick pan over low heat...melt butter and marshmallows together. Remove from heat. Add rice cereal and stir well.
2. Butter mini-muffin pans. With buttered hands...shape rice crispy mixture into muffin pans to form a basket or nest in each. Refrigerate until form, about 15 minutes or longer.
3. Color coconut by adding drops of green food coloring. Continue adding drops directly to coconut and stir well, with fork, until it become the green color you like. Sprinkle colored coconut over a serving dish.
4. Remove baskets/bird nests from refrigerator and place on top of colored coconut (save more colored coconut to use inside the baskets and nests, if desired.
5. Place 2-3 jelly beans in each basket/nest.
6. Keep in cool area before serving.

TIPS: Rice Krispy Baskets/Nests maybe frozen for up to 2 months in an airtight container.
