Creamy Chocolate Fudge with Walnuts

Make 36 pieces

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (7-ounce) jar marshmallow cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, optional
  • 2 teaspoons cocoa powder, optional
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 3 Tablespoons butter
  1. Line an 8x8 inch pan with foil, set aside.
  2. In a 2 1/2 quart heavy bottom sauce pan, over medium-heat, add butter, sugar, evaporated milk, salt and marshmallow cream. Stir until mixture begin to boil. When mixture begins to boil, set a timer for exactly 6 minutes. Continue to boil and stir until timer rings. Turn off heat.
  3. Immediately, stir in vanilla extract and slowly add milk and semi-sweet chocolate chip until melted. Add nuts, it desired.
  4. Transfer fudge to foil lined pan. Spread top of fudge out evenly. Cool to room temperature or add to refrigerator for 30 minutes until fudge it firm.
  5. Cut into 1-inch squares. Sprinkle with cocoa powder, if desired.

Makes 36 pieces.
