CHRISTMAS CORNFLAKE WREATHS

• Small red candy balls like mini M&Ms, red hot, or edible pearl candies
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/4 cup butter, salted or unsalted
• Candy Shred white decorating candies, optional
• Green food coloring
• 40 regular marshmallows or 4 cups (10-ounces) miniature marshmallows
• 5 cups unsweetened cornflake cereal

1. In a 3-quart skillet or sauce pan, over medium-heat, melt butter. Add marshmallows. Stir until marshmallows are melted and smooth. Whisk in vanilla. Remove from heat.
2. Add 4-10 drops of green food coloring. Depending on lightness or darkness of desired color. Whisk until well blended.
3. Add cornflakes. Stir with spoon until cornflakes are well coated.
4. On lined parchment paper or lightly buttered cookie sheet shape wreath(s) into desired size. Decorate with red candy ball (mini M&Ms, red hots, or candy pearls) and white chocolate candy shreds, optional.
5. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes or until firm.

TIPS: Separate CORNFLAKE WREATHS with parchment paper between layers to prevent sticking together. Store in an airtight container up to 5 days at room temperature or refrigerator, if in warm climate.
