An American favorite beverage for decades...HOT COCOA, also known as HOT CHOCOLATE. HOT COCOA / HOT CHOCOLATE
Makes 1 serving (double or triple ingredients to serve more)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- pinch of salt, optional
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- candy canes, optional
- Whip Cream, optional
- 1 cup milk
- Heat milk in small sauce pan over medium-heat. DO NOT boil. May microwave for 1 1/2 minutes on high.
- In large drinking mug add sugar, cocoa and salt. Whisk or combine with folk. Slowly whisk while adding hot milk to cocoa mixture.
Top with whipped cream and cocoa, optional.
Add candy cane/crusted candy cane for a festive occasion.
